eX2 Technology is searching for an ambitious individual who is an experienced GIS Analyst. Candidate will utilize his/her experience in GIS and ESRI software to manage and develop the company’s geographical data including all base data and Outside Plant (OSP) designs and project deliverables for fiber communications projects. The GIS Analyst will be skilled in utilizing GIS data management and project tools such as ArcGIS/FM, 3GISLive, QGIS and/or other GIS fiber management software for managing all OSP design information. The GIS Analyst must be capable of drafting clear, detailed and complete drawings with accurate detail that incorporates permitting ordinances, design inputs, sketches and field notes. Must be able to comprehend, interpret and render verbal inputs from field teams as required. The GIS Analyst must be able to utilize skills and experience to perform data analysis, queries and management and produce reports for projects.

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, geography, GIS, remote sensing program or related field or related experience. An Associate’s Degree in Drafting and Design Technology is desired. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in OSP design and various GIS products. A GISP certification is a plus.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering and construction drawings and specifications, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and other documents. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
The incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and pass a mandatory drug test.
