Contracts Manager - Omaha or Chicago
eX² Technology is searching for an ambitious and experienced Contracts Manager. This position will focus on supporting the operational processes for executing telecommunications design-build construction and systems integration projects. The ideal individual will have strong leadership, communication and customer relation skills. Detailed knowledge of contracts, schedules, budget management and materials procurement is required. The Contracts Manager will work closely with the project team to develop and manage prime contracts, subcontracts, budget, schedule and vendor relations for the Company.

Roles & Responsibilities
Assist the Project Manager in delivering projects on time and within budget while developing and maintaining high quality customer relationships.
Must have detailed understanding of contractual requirements and the contracting process, including terms and conditions to ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
Serves as the primary point of contact for vendors and subcontractors.
Manages subcontractor and vendor performance against contract terms and conditions.
Manage the contract modification process.
Prepares requests for proposal and manages the procurement and bid process.
Participate and occasionally chair regularly scheduled project status meetings to ensure timely and productive communications with customer throughout the project.
Works with the customer, Project Manager and Safety Manager to ensure a robust safety program is in place. Proactively works with customer, subcontractors, vendors and project team to prevent accidents and continuously improve safety performance.
Supports Project Development and Sales in the pursuit of new opportunities by participating in the estimating and proposal writing process.
Preparation of report, budgets, and financial forecasts as required by customer and Company.
Preparation and tracking of customer invoices.
Support the Company’s General Counsel, as required.

Skills & Experience
Thorough knowledge of contracting process, including contract terms and conditions, scopes of work and pricing concepts.
Knowledge of telecommunications and construction industries, including the ability to read drawings and understand the construction process.
Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and requirements.
Knowledge of underground and aerial construction practices.
Knowledge of estimating, budgeting and project schedules.
Knowledge of financial analytics and profit and loss implications.
Knowledge of safety requirements and best practices.
Strong leadership skills.
Excellent persuasion, negotiation and judgement skills.
Demonstrated customer relationship management skills.

Thorough knowledge of Microsoft office products, MS Visio, MS Project, databases and job costing systems.
Qualification & Education
2 to 5 years experience in the telecommunications, critical infrastructure or construction industries with at least 2 years of contracts or project management experience.
A B.S. degree in engineering, construction management, business or similar degree is required.
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hand and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The incumbent may be required to walk on construction sites in rough terrain and facilities under construction. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand for long periods of time. The incumbent may be required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent may split time between work in a semi-quiet office environment and on customer sites, where there is moderate to occasional great noise levels.
Language Skills & Reasoning Ability
Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering and construction drawings and specifications, common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and other documents. Communicates effectively in both oral and written English technical language, both in interpreting requirements and providing reports and mentoring. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
