Intelligent Transportation System Smart Parking Solution Addresses Truck Drivers’ Lost Time Searching for Parking while Reducing Lost Revenue for Businesses

OMAHA, NE – April 5, 2016 – Omaha-based eX² Technology, LLC (eX²) announced today the formation of a strategic partnership with Truck Smart Parking Services, Inc. (TSPS), located in Detroit, MI, to deliver an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) solution to address the nationwide truck parking problem. Together, these companies will provide the services necessary to accelerate deployment of a corridor-wide truck parking information network. This one-stop service will shorten the system deployment time by as much as 50 percent, providing innovative services, while enabling users to be better informed and make safer, more coordinated decisions.

According to industry survey statistics on this growing issue, professional truck drivers spend an average of 30 to 60 minutes at the end of each work shift searching for parking. This is non-productive, wasted time that costs businesses billions of dollars each year.

The ITS turnkey solution, commercially available to the industry today, will reduce the amount of time truckers needlessly search for parking, improve mobility and safety on the national highway network and increase the efficiency of truck fleets, while significantly reducing vehicle emissions.

“The commercial transportation industry is ever changing and, while the parking challenges facing professional drivers continue to escalate, we are now one step closer to solving this on an enterprise-wide scale,” states Jim Kawamoto, president of eX² Technology. “We envision this network becoming a valuable means in the future for commercial vehicles in the national connected vehicle industry.”

“We’re excited to work with TSPS, and their exceptional leadership team, to build an interoperable, interconnected and centralized information service network solution for this industry,” continued Kawamoto.

“Our experience over the last 18 months in successful operation of the Michigan smart truck parking service puts us in a unique position in this industry. The eX² partnership allows us to now offer a complete turnkey solution for all stakeholders to address this critical problem,” said Rick Warner, CEO, TSPS.
