eX² Technology, in partnership with the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA), is helping expand broadband access and improve digital equity throughout Arizona. As ADOT’s exclusive Middle-Mile Fiber Infrastructure Operations, Maintenance and Commercialization partner, eX² is marketing newly deployed conduit and dark fiber along Arizona’s I-17, I-19 and I-40W corridors, including strategic routes serving the Phoenix metro area, along with wireless development opportunities. The ADOT fiber network provides carriers and service providers with access to critical middle-mile infrastructure designed to support network expansion and connectivity throughout the state.

This 100% underground infrastructure is available on an open access basis, reducing barriers to entry for carriers, internet service providers, communities and other partners by providing the infrastructure needed to connect homes, businesses, community anchor institutions and beyond. Arizona dark fiber and fiber optic conduit give carriers and service providers access to alternate routes to key Arizona markets, supporting network redundancy and connections to data centers and other colocation facilities. The Arizona middle-mile network also creates a greenfield opportunity for wireless service providers, with a streamlined permitting approach for small cell and macro tower development or wireless backhaul connections to existing infrastructure.
